An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced anaesthetist to join our team at Willows Referral Service. The successful applicant will hold, or be eligible to sit, a European Diploma (or equivalent), and will share our aim of providing the best possible level of care for our patients, clients, and referring veterinary surgeons.

The current anaesthesia team consists of three Specialists, one part time clinical anaesthetist, one dedicated anaesthesia nurse training towards the AVTAA examination, and an anaesthesia intern. Providing individually tailored anaesthetic and analgesia protocols for every patient, our anaesthetists support their colleagues in the disciplines of soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, medicine, neurology, oncology, imaging, dermatology and cardiology. They also take an active role in the care of our ICU patients. Our philosophy is very much one of friendly co-operation between all members of the team.

We have some of the best facilities to be found in Specialist multi-disciplinary centres, including onsite MRI and CT. The facilities are complimented by an excellent team of support staff who give our clinicians the opportunity to concentrate on their clinical caseload and to work in a pleasant, supportive and good-humoured atmosphere.

The position will be well remunerated and the package includes six weeks holiday per year, two weeks allowance for funded CPD per year, a week for approved committee or examining commitments per year, a non-contributory pension and private healthcare. Willows holds the Investors in People Award at the extended Silver level, and we are dedicated to providing excellent working conditions, care and support for all our 180+ personnel.

Willows is centrally located within easy reach of Birmingham Airport, London and the national rail and motorway networks, but only a short drive away from historic Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and the beautiful Oxfordshire and Warwickshire countryside.
