The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies is looking for a veterinary anaesthetist for a fixed term maternity cover of one year.

Joining a friendly and supportive team of six Anaesthesia Diplomates, two clinicians, four residents, two interns, three nurses and one animal care assistant, you will contribute to the provision of clinical anaesthesia in the School’s Small Animal Hospital and Large Animal Hospitals and combine clinical excellence with compassionate care. The role will give you the opportunity to get involved in delivery and assessment of our BVM&S undergraduate degree programme as well as to postgraduate training and education programmes. The Easter Bush Campus houses outstanding teaching and clinical facilities, including our newly opened state of the art Equine Hospital, as well as the Roslin Institute, one of the world’s leading veterinary research centres.

The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies is situated on the Easter Bush Campus, 10 miles south of central Edinburgh. The campus has easy access to both a vibrant city centre and is within easy reach of outstanding countryside.

You should hold a Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia or have completed a residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia. Candidates with extensive clinical anaesthesia experience will also be considered, as will be candidates who would prefer to work in small animal anaesthesia only.
