TWO (2) CLINICIAN POSITIONS IN ANESTHESIOLOGY
ONE FULL TIME POSITION AND ONE LIMITED TERM (12 MONTHS) CONTRACT
(FULL TIME OR PART TIME)

Duties:

Up to 90% of efforts will be allocated to clinical service and teaching, and 10% allocated to other activities (which may include research, administration and outreach).

The successful candidate will join a team of two boarded (ACVAA and ECVAA) faculty anesthesiol-ogists and a part-time clinician (residency trained).

As part of clinical service duties, the successful candidate will participate in the teaching of under-graduate students, rotating interns and anesthesiology residents. The anesthesia section has cur-rently five veterinary technicians and two residents as part of an ACVAA and ECVAA-approved residency training program.

Participation in out of-hours duties, including weekends and holidays, is expected.

Requirements:

  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • ACVAA (American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia) or ECVAA (European Col-lege of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia) board certification
  • Individuals who are board eligible are invited to apply but preference will be given to board-certified applicants
  • The selected candidate must obtain a licence to practise veterinary medicine issued by the Ordre des médecins vétérinaires du Québec
  • A working knowledge of the French language, or willingness to learn (institutional support is available), is essential.

Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with academic credentials, experience and university salary scale. Additional compensation is provided for out-of-hours duties in accordance with the rules of the CHUV, Université de Montréal.

Starting date:

June 2019 or sooner if the candidate is available.
