Manchester Veterinary Specialists is a busy, orthopaedic referral-only practice in Greater Manchester, United Kingdom, with close access to the M60 (Manchester ring road), M62, M6 and M56 motorways. In addition to our current Dip.ECVAA, we have one veterinary anaesthetist (non-diplomate working towards Advanced Practitioner status), two orthopaedic specialists (DipECVS), one surgery registrar (ECVS resident), seven Registered Veterinary Nurses and three surgical technicians. Manchester is a thriving city in the Northwest of England with easy links to London, Edinburgh, and many areas of natural beauty including the Yorkshire Dales, Peak District and Lake District.

As a Clinical Veterinary Anaesthetist you will provide support to the orthopaedic surgery team and perform clinical work. You will work alongside an enthusiastic team of highly skilled and experienced veterinary professionals. Clinical work comprises preparation, supervision and administration of anaesthesia, locoregional techniques, sedation and analgesia to cats and dogs undergoing orthopaedic examinations/procedures. Manchester Veterinary Specialists offers exceptional patient and client care. The practice is modern, purpose fitted and well equipped.

To be successful you will have:

Dip.ECVAA or DACVA
Current RCVS registration (MRCVS) or eligibility to be so registered
Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
Availability from the beginning of July 2020
A collaborative, team focused approach to anaesthesia
Excellent English language communication skills
